Mediatec provides event technology to The Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre

On Thursday 17th March 2011, The Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre was opened in the heart of Stockholm city centre. The new congress centre is able to accommodate up to two thousand congress members simultaneously. Fourteen hundred special guests were invited to the grand opening party that also fundraised for the World Childhood Foundation.

Mediatec provided a 45m wide x 6m high projection screen in the congress hall, along with façade projections on the exterior of the building, making the viewing experience outstanding, even at night. Always up to speed with the latest technology, Mediatec supplied lights and camera production in full High Definition (HD).

Mediatec was the technology event sponsor at this year’s “Gyllene Hjulet”, held on 29th March. The client, The Swedish Sponsorship and Event Association, recognised seven organisations for their various actions. Mediatec delivered a total solution of light, sound and video. During the celebration of the winners, artists like Orup and Veronica Maggio performed in front of a lively audience.

Volvo Car Corporation, the best stand at Geneva Motor Show, 2011

Mediatec was thrilled to hear that Volvo Car Corporation saw off competitors BMW and SMART to win “The Creativity” prize at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Mediatec is Volvos Car Corporations leading technology partner at global Motor Shows world over.

A part of the motivation from the Prize Committee as follows: The integration of the three main LED screens that were visible from every angle in the exhibition hall and also in the connectivity room, were perfect. A sheltered room allowed visitors to utilise and experience new technologies in an intelligent way.

Anouk Poelman, President of Volvo Cars Switzerland said - "We are extremely happy and honoured to receive the Creativity Award for the very first time here in Geneva. Congratulations to all who have worked on developing the concept and to those who built the stand. It is a tremendous acknowledgement to them all!"
