Eurovision Song Contest 2010

For this prestigious evening, Mediatec Broadcast Norway supplied Eurovision special events with an MCR/playout facility including 6 VTR machines, 1 Final Cut edit station, and 4 standup positions with audio, camera and lighting for both day and night shooting. The production also allowed for the possibility of 4 simultaneous outputs on fiber to EBU for onward distribution.

The entire operation lasted 8 days and with approximately 35 different TV channels using the service, it was a hectic period, to say the least.

On leaving the venue after the event en route to South Africa, Eurovision Head of Operations Mr. Bruno Beeckman commented, “Thanks for a fabulous job - flawless. You deliver!”
